HYDERABAD: Schedule of power shutdown

HYDERABAD, Nov 23: The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company on Monday notified a shutdown schedule for all five Hesco circles from Nooriabad to Jacobabad for annual repairs of power lines and transformers, inspection and replacement works.

The annual programme had earlier been postponed due to Ramazan. A spokesman for Hesco appealed to people to cooperate with staff of the company during the shutdown period.

KUTCHEHRY: The deputy director, circle-I, Qayoom Baig, executive engineer, Latifabad Hesco operation division, Muzzafar Abbasi, revenue officer, Ayaz Baloch, and SDO, Hali Road sub-division, Zafar Solangi, here on Monday held an open kutchehry to resolve problems of consumers. Many complaints were entertained on the spot.

WASA: The managing director, Water and Sanitation Agency, here on Wednesday said power shutdown announced by Hesco from 8am to 5pm at Old Airport, Old Fort, GOR, New Fort, Fateh and Stadium feeders would affect nine sewage disposal and water supply pumping stations. He said with restoration of power supply, sewage problem would be resolved in two days.
