KARACHI, Nov 19: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has deplored the silence of the government of Pakistan over the massacre of innocent Muslims in Iraq and Thailand and the massive destruction of mosques in Fallujah by US forces.

Speaking to a protest demonstration outside the Baitul Mukarram mosque in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Friday, MMA leader and Amir Jamaat-i-Islami Karachi Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqui said the recent offensive of US forces in the Iraqi cities of Mosul and Fallujah and killing of Muslims in Thailand was condemnable.

The MMA leader said the government was neither protesting nor condemning the US genocide in Iraq, which would be conceived as a support to the US policies. The government should declare its policy on the prevailing situation in Iraq, he demanded.

"Whatsoever be the point of view of the Pakistani government on Iraq issue, but the people of Pakistan strongly condemn US polices and express their solidarity and sympathy with the people of Iraq," he further said.

He said after that the US offensive in Iraq, so far one hundred thousand citizens including women, children and old people had been killed, more than the same number of women rapped, while some 0.5 million people had been disabled.

He said that men who claimed to be slaves of the Holy Prophet (SAW) would never accept the slavery of the US. Meanwhile, the MPAs of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Nasrullah Shajjee, Hameedullah Advocate and Mohammed Younus Barai have condemned the criticism by the Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, of the foreign visits of City Nazim Naimatullah Khan. - PPI
