KARACHI, May 25: In a thinly-veiled threat, the KWSB has said it will flood with sewage the roads along the Karachi Press Club and the Army compound on the pretext of non-payment of bills by Laxon Apartments.

“The KWSB will not be responsible for flooding of such roads with sewage water in the wake of disconnection of sewage facilities to the Laxon Apartments buildings if the matter pertaining to the payment of the KWSB’s dues is not resolved soon,” a press release issued by the KWSB on Saturday said.

The same press release said that in the light of a decision of the Sindh High Court, the KWSB had already disconnected the water and sewerage facility of the Laxon Apartments buildings’ compound on Friday night.

“According to the high court decision, the owners of these buildings have to pay the dues to the Karachi Cantonment Board (KCB) for getting restored the facilities.

“After receiving the amount from the defaulter, the KCB will deposit the amount in KWSB accounts and for future it will also ensure timely payment to the water board,” the release said.
