Published October 14, 2004

MIANWALI, Oct 13: Namal Union Council Nazim Allah Yar Malik was thrashed by some youngsters of his constituency near Dhok Athar Khan village and was admitted to the DHQ hospital with multiple fractures.

According to witnesses, Allah Yar was on his way home by his car when he was stopped by five unidentified youths. They pulled him out of his car by breaking the door glass and beat him with batons and sticks for almost half an hour. People gathered around but none of them rescued him due to his indecent behaviour with common man.

It is alleged that Allah Yar was notorious for implicating his rivals in false police cases. When contacted, DHQ hospital doctors said his right leg and right arm had been fractured. Chakrala police station SHO Nawaz Gondal told this scribe that no case has yet been registered.
