HYDERABAD: Book fair at varsity opens

HYDERABAD, Oct 12: A four-day book fair, organized by the Oxford University Press at the Allama I.I. Kazi Library of the University of Sindh was inaugurated by its vice- chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui on Monday.

The deans of faculties, heads of departments and a large number of students attended the inaugural ceremony. Latest English dictionaries, biographies, autobiographies, books on arts, science, culture, social sciences, computer, business, economics, management, commerce, literature, history, philosophy, psychology and other subjects published by the OUP have been displayed at the fair. The books can be bought by the students and teachers at 20 per cent discount.

LLB EXAMS: The University of Sindh has announced the schedule for submission of examination forms for LLB-I, II and III. According to announcement, the last date without late fee for submission of examination forms by fresh as well as last year's unsuccessful candidates is November 10. The examination forms can be obtained by the students from their concerned colleges from October 13.

COTTON: The Sindh Chamber of Agriculture has advised the cotton growers not to sell phutti (raw cotton) below the minimum support price of Rs925 per 40kg fixed by the government. This was decided in a recent SCA meeting held here under the chairmanship of Syed Qamaruzzaman Shah.
