Statements of assets: MPs face action

ISLAMABAD, Oct 11: The Election Commission on Monday authorized Chief Election Commissioner Irshad Hasan Khan to suspend the membership of those MNAs and MPAs who had failed to file the annual statements of their assets and liabilities.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the commission held here on Monday with the CEC in the chair. The commission also decided to publish the statements of the audited accounts of 14 political parties.
