LARKANA, Sept 26: Divers on Sunday recovered bodies of two children from the Lahori regulator of the Rice canal. Nine-year-old Aslam, and his eight-year-old sister Hajran, were allegedly thrown into the canal by their father Ismail Jarwar. They were buried after post-mortem.

Ismail Jarwar, a security guard in Karachi, had taken his two children from his father's house on Friday for entertaining. He brought them to the Rice canal and threw into it and left the scene. The two children drowned in the canal.

When he did not return to house, his father, a resident of the Kausar Mills area, informed the police about children.

Ibrahim Jarwar, the brother of the accused, spotted him in the Jiles Bazaar on Saturday. He tried to escape but his brother grasped him and handed over to the police. He at the outset denied the crime but later confessed.
