KARACHI: Six cars, 12 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Sept 19: At least 18 vehicles - six cars and 12 motorcycles - were either hijacked or stolen from different parts of the city on Sunday, an official handout released by the Central Police Office said on Sunday.

Five cars were stolen from the jurisdictions of Nabi Bux, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gizri, Steel Town and Sachal police stations. One vehicle was snatched at gunpoint from the limits of Ibrahim Hydri police station, while seven motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint from different parts of the city, while five vehicles were stolen on Sunday.

BODY FOUND: Body of an unidentified young man was recovered from Saat Pani, near Gulshan-i-Sikandarabad, Kemari, on Sunday, APP adds. The youth appeared to be about 35-year old and wore a cream coloured shalwar, the police said.

The body, which was neither decomposed nor had marks of any injury, had been placed at Edhi's morgue, Sohrab Goth, for identification, the police added. Body of another young man was found in a park in Lyari on early Sunday morning.

Police said that the victim was identified as Mohammad Asif. He had suffered a bullet wound in his head. Police suspected that the victim was killed on suspicion of being an informer.
