Martyred soldier laid to rest

SUKKUR, May 24: Remains of an army Jawan, Sher Muhammad Kosh, who was martyred during mortar shelling by Indian troops at Sialkot sector, were laid to rest in his native village, Rang of taluka Ubaro, Ghotki district,with full military honours. Hundreds of people attended his funeral.

KILLED: A man was killed another seriously injured when they offered resistance to a gang of seven bandits who tried to snatch their bike in village Shahwali near Raunti, Ghotki district on Friday.

Allah Bachayo Gorgaij and his relative Ali Nawaz Gorgaij were on way to village Shahwali when the armed gang intercepted them near Raunti and asked them to hand over the vehicle.

On resistance, the bandit opened fire killing Allah Bachayo on the spot. Ali Nawaz sustained serious injuries and, later, was taken to the Civil Hospital, Sukkur, where his condition was stated to be precarious.

Allah Wasayo Gorgaij, elder brother of the deceased, has lodged an FIR against Piyaro, Bahadur and six others.
