KARACHI, Sept 10: Former provincial minister for religious affairs, Maulana Wali Razi, stressed on acquisition of knowledge in accordance with the teachings of Holy Quraan.

He was speaking at a seminar on "Philosophy of Holy Quraan and the younger generation", organized under the auspices of the Shaikh Zayed Islamic Centre, University of Karachi on Thursday.

Wali Razi said, "The Holy Quraan is a complete code of life and its teachings lead us towards the path of righteousness. We should mould our lives in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quraan in order to be successful in this world and in the life hereafter," he said.

The religious scholar said that Muslims could meet the standards of what was right and just if they followed the teachings of the Holy Quraan. Also present on the occasion, Prof Mahmood Hussain Siddiqui and Misbahuddin Shakil were of the view that the Holy Quraan was the best guide for all human beings irrespective of their cast, creed and religion.

They said that the Holy Quraan stressed on the path that was morally right and for the welfare and betterment of the Ummah as well as for the entire humanity.

Earlier, Shaikh Zayed Islamic Centre Director Prof (Dr) Khalilur Rehman while presenting the welcome address said that Muslim Ummah could successfully meet the modern challenges by selecting the right path as mentioned in the Holy Quraan. -APP
