SUKKUR, Sept 10: A man, his son and another villager were kidnapped by armed men in Ehsan Khoso village in the kutcha area near Kashmore on Wednesday night.
Hazoor Bux Solangi, his son Arbab Solangi and Sarwar Solangi, were irrigating agricultural land when a group of armed men kidnapped them.
After covering some distance, the outlaws released Sarwar Solangi and took away Hazoor Bux and his son Arbab along with them. The villagers informed the Machiko police about the incident but bandits fled towards the kutcha area before the arrival of police.
NAGARPARKAR RECOVERY LIKELY: NAGARPARKAR A rice trader of Larkana, Santosh Kumar, who was kidnapped by bandits two months ago, is likely to be recovered within next 48 hours through a deal of Rs3.5 million struck through an influential person, according to sources.
Police have released Dado Shaikh, Shafqat Abro and two others whose names have not been disclosed, earlier detained in the case, to help them in the recovery of Mr Kumar. It is said that police have given assurance to the kidnappers that after the release of the trader, no action would be taken against them and the kidnapping case would be closed.
The sources further said that the DPO of Shikarpur, K. K. Memon, had held meetings with some influential persons of his area to seek their help in the release of the trader.

The DPO of Larkana, Muzaffar Shaikh, has said that the efforts for the recovery of Mr Kumar are at final stage and they hope that he will be recovered very soon. "It is a matter of hours, not days," he added.
ARRESTED: An outlaw was arrested by the Site police after an exchange of firing near the central jail Sukkur on Thursday. Police said Murtaza Khoso and Farooq Khoso were coming from the B.ED College, Sukkur, when armed men intercepted and hijacked their motorcycle (SK-2690).
The Site police chased bandits and after an exchange of firing an accused Anwar Magsi was arrested and a TT pistol was recovered from him. The police claimed the accused was a notorious dacoit and wanted in several cases of murder and motorcycle hijacking.
PROTEST: The residents of Bahoo Khoso took out procession and staged a sit in front of the Hesco office on Friday to protest against issuance of detection bills.
Mohammad Ali Khoso of the Shehri Ittehad, who led the procession, alleged that the local Hesco officials had issued heavy detection bills to the consumers of the area to conceal power theft. He called on the Hesco chief to order an inquiry against the SDO and line superintendent of the area.
