Afghan dies in attack on UN vehicle

KABUL, Sept 3: An Afghan man died and four people were hurt in a bomb attack on a UN vehicle in Kandahar on Friday, an official said.

A remote-controlled bomb attached to a car detonated in Kandahar, provincial intelligence chief Abdullah Laghmanai said.

"One person was killed and four were injured," Mr Laghmanai said. "Their target was the UN vehicle which passed by the explosion site in time," he added. -APP
