KARACHI, Aug 22: The MNAs and MPAs belonging to the Muttahida Majlis-i-Ammal have welcomed the city government's decision of doing away with the charged parking system in the city.

Felicitating the city government and the City Council for bringing an end to the system, the MMA parliamentarians, Mohammad Hussain Mehanti, Abdus Sattar Afghani, Mohammad Laeeq Khan, Nasrullah Khan Shajji, Hameedullah Khan and Younus Barai, said that the decision had brought relief to the citizens.

Lauding the efforts of the elected nazims for undertaking a number of development projects, including opening of new colleges and introduction of a transparent admission policy for colleges, they said that the CDGK despite having limited resources had served the Karachiites in the best possible manner.

Emphasising the need for extending full cooperation to the city government and the elected nazims, the legislators said that joint efforts should be made by shunning all difference, so that the city could make rapid progress under the CDGK.
