KARACHI, Aug 18: Sindh Revenue Minister Imtiaz Shaikh on Wednesday denied having any plans to bifurcate Dadu, Jacobabad and Larkana districts and categorically stated that these districts would not be divided on political grounds.

Talking to newsmen at his office the minister also rejected allegations with regard to kidnapping of a Hindu trader Santosh Kumar from Larkana and said," we condemn such acts."

He said involvement of any person belonging to a certain community does not mean that entire community was involved in the crime and added that homes of innocent persons are being raided at the instigation of political opponents who are in fact relatives of police officer Agha Tahir.

To a question about differences with Pir Sahib Pagara, Imtiaz Shaikh said they have no differences and he has deep regard for Pir Sahib. To another query he said the PML would further be strengthened after by-election and assuming the office of Prime Minister by Mr. Shaukat Aziz and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain as the party president.

He told that PML Sindh Council meeting has been convened on Aug 21 at Chief Minister House and invitations have been sent to all the members including that of functional league.
