HARIPUR, July 27: Three persons, including a woman, were killed and eight others were injured, when a rashly-driven Toyota Hiace (LPT 1696) crashed into a tree after running over two persons waiting for a bus near Baldhair, some six kilometres from here the other day.

Police said that Maida Bibi and Nauman, 7, were killed on the spot after being run over by the speeding hiace van while a man, Gul Zaman, who was travelling in the vehicle died on the way to hospital.

Five of the injured were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad. Their condition was reported to be critical. The injured were identified as M. Qasim, Ikram, Bilal Ahmad, M. Naeem, Tanveerur Rehman, Shahid, Munawar Saddique and M. Ayub.
