KARACHI, June 20: A judicial magistrate and five others died in road accidents in different areas on Sunday. Police said that Ghulam Yaseen, Judicial Magistrate-III of Malir Courts, was going on Hub River Road when a speeding coach rammed into his car. He died on the spot.

A passenger, Mohammad Essa, and the coach conductor, Natha, also died in the accident within the jurisdiction of Saeedabad police station. However, the coach driver escaped from the spot leaving the vehicle behind, police added.

On Mauripur Road, two men were knocked down to death by a speeding truck. Police said that Sonu Mian, 40, and Abu Talib were seriously wounded when a speeding truck (TAB-899) hit their motorcycle (KAR-2383). Both the injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

However, the errant driver of the truck escaped from the spot, police added. In North Nazimabad, a young man was hit by a speeding vehicle near Imam Clinic. Anwar was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from where he was referred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he died.
