DERA GHAZI KHAN, May 26: An alleged robber escaped a police team after injuring an assistant sub-inspector and a passerby in Saddar police station precinct on Wednesday.

According to reports, ASI Khadim Husain tried to arrest Sjjad in front of a school for special children near Manika canal, but he along with his accomplices, Akhtar and Khaliq, opened fire on him.

The ASI and passerby Hanif Baig suffered injuries while the suspect managed to flee. The police claimed that Sajjad was involved in a robbery-cum-murder case and was recently released from jail after paying compensation to the deceased's family.

Seeking Justice: A man has appealed to the police higher-ups to arrest the nominated accused, who had sodomized his son. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Atta Husain said Daajil police had registered a sodomy case under section 377 PPC on his report.

However, the police had yet to arrest the accused even after almost three months. He alleged that the police had received illegal gratification from the accused.
