KARACHI, May 20: The Nazim of City District Government Karachi, Naimatullah Khan, has been made the chairman of the governing body of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Authority (KWSA).

According to an official in the provincial government, the Sindh law department has approved the draft after some amendments for formation of an authority and now the KWSB would be converted into the KWSA.

The sources further said the Sindh government would officially announce the decision in the next couple of days as it had also been decided that the authority would have a governing body in which the City Nazim would be the chairman.

Sources said that three representatives of city council would also be the members of KWSA governing body.

The other members of KWSA governing body will be DCO, MD KWSA, and MD KESC.—PPI
