KARACHI, April 30: A youth died in a road accident in Site area on Friday. Police said that Nadeem, 25, was on his motorcycle when a speeding water tanker knocked him down near Siemens Chowrangi.

Driver of the tanker fled from the scene leaving behind his vehicle (No. LSB 2445), they added. The victim was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

ROBBERY: Two brothers were injured when armed robbers opened fire during their bid to rob them. Police said that Azhar and Athar were coming out after drawing cash from a bank branch in Al-Falah, Shah Faisal Colony, Malir, when the robbers on a motorcycle intercepted them.

The victims offered resistance but the robbers opened fire, injuring both of them, and fled after snatching Rs100,000 from them. The injured were taken to the Jinnah Post Medical College for treatment.
