KARACHI, April 27: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Tuesday imposed a ban on all transfers, postings, relieving and joining of officers in all departments of the city district government Karachi.

A decision to this effect was taken by the City Nazim in the wake of Sindh chief minister's order to ban all kinds of transfers, postings and detailments in the province.

The City Nazim informed a delegation of teachers and headmistresses of different schools of Karachi, which met him at his office that no transfers, postings and detailment are allowed after Sindh CM's orders.

He said that a decision was taken after receiving reports that additional secretary education Sindh, Abdul Wahab Abbasi, during a visit to different schools cancelled all orders of detailment and directed the employees on detailment to report to their previous institutes.

The City Nazim directed EDO Education Raees Alvi to cancel all the orders of Additional Secretary Education Sindh in this regard and directed all the staff of schools to continue their duties where they were performing before the orders of Additional Secretary Education Sindh.

The City Nazim further directed the EDO Education and all district officers to strictly adhere to the circular and no transfer, posting and joining be taken without the prior approval of the City Nazim. -PPI
