NAWABSHAH, March 31: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali has said that the National Security Council bill may be presented in the current session of the National Assembly.

He talking to a delegation of the Nawabshah Press Club at circuit house here on Tuesday. He said that doors were always kept open in politics but there was no possibility of any pact with the People's Party Parliamentarians in near further.

The prime minister said that the government was in contact with some countries for extradition of wanted persons. About unity of Muslim League factions, he said that he had been trying for it for 11 years.

He said that relations were improving between India and Pakistan but emphasised that Kashmir was the core issue. Mr Jamali said that committees had been formed at the central and provincial level to monitor working of district governments and development funds given to 104 districts would be checked through the committees.

Answering a question, he said that the Sindh government was not interfering in the affairs of district governments. Answering another question about construction of the greater Thal Canal, he said that Punjab would release water from its share into the canal and other provinces too may construct canals. Answering yet another question about relief to growers, he said that relief would be given to growers who had obtained loans up to 1999.

The prime minister directed the Sindh chief secretary to furnish a report about shortage of wheat in Sindh. Nawabshah District Nazim Faryal Talpur, a delegation of the Pml(Q) and another of the Jamali tribesmen also called on the prime minister.

CONDOLENCE: The prime minister on Wednesday condoled the death of the wife of Hakim Ali Zardari and his two brothers. Mr Jamali visited the residence of the PPP leader and condoled with Hakim Ali Zardari on the death of his wife and his two brothers.
