NAWABSHAH, March 28: Police arrested the private secretary of People's Party Parliamentarians leader Asif Ali Zardari and two others here on Sunday on the charge of firing on a car of the Daulatpur taluka Nazim.

Mr Zardari's private secretary Ismail and Aslam and Ali Asghar - all Dahri by caste - were arrested on the complaint of Faqeer Mohammad, driver of Taluka Nazim Dr Bahadur Dahri. The driver stated he was taking the Nazim to Massurji Wah to attend a wedding when the accused opened fire on them near Muqeem Dahri village.

Later, Ismail Dahri told journalists at the Daulatpur police station that he was innocent as he was going to the village with his mother to cast votes when 10 armed men of the taluka Nazim and former minister Khan Mohammad Dahri attacked and injured them.
