John bags 10-wkt haul

LAHORE, March 23: Left-arm paceman Stephen John finished with a match haul of 10 for 99 as Quetta defeated Faisalabad by 25 runs on the second day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match at the Sports Stadium in Sargodha on Tuesday.

John claimed four for 52 to follow his six for 47 in the first innings as Faisalabad were bowled out for 160 after being set a target of 186. Mohammad Asif chipped in with four for 88. Tail-ender Saeed Ajmal hit a defiant 53.

Earlier, Quetta were restricted to 183 in their second innings with Naseem Khan and Naseer Khan scoring 50 apiece. Shahid Nazir took four for 68 to end up with match figures of 10 for 110.
