KARACHI, March 23: Maximum funds are being provided for development projects in the province's rural areas, says Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar. He was speaking at a function organized by MPA Bano Saghir here.

Mr Mahar said that the provincial government was trying to encourage industrialists in this regard by offering them maximum incentives for establishing industries in the interior of Sindh, particularly in Hyderabad, Kotri, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Larkana, Dadu and Hala.

He said that the government was also taking steps to protect cottage industries to protect the folk culture. Stressing the need for preparing effective strategies to solve the people's problems, the chief minister expressed the hope that MPAs would keep in touch with the people in their respective constituencies in this regard.

Highlighting the provincial government's resolve to tackle the public problems on a priority basis, he said that it (the government) was taking positive steps for provision of better education and health facilities besides eradicating unemployment.

Referring to solving the problems of the government's coalition partners, he said that development projects would be undertaken judiciously all over the province. The function was also attended by Sindh Minister for Women Development Dr Saeeda Malik, Dr Rahimul Haq, Lala Rehman Samon, Maj Saghir Ahmed and MPA Dr Sohrab Sarki. -PPI
