KARACHI, March 9: A rocket was fired at the under- construction building of the slain MPA Abdullah Murad in Al-Falah on Tuesday. Police said that the rocket landed on sand outside the premises of the under-construction building , Salman Garden, and did not explode. The building owned by the slain MPA is located near his residence.

Police believe that the rocket must have been fired in small hours. They said that no one was reported injured in the incident, however, a case (FIR 39/04) was registered at the Al- Falah police station.

Meanwhile, the police also registered an FIR (38/04) in the killing of Abdullah Murad and his chauffeur Hanif Baloch on behalf of the state against the unknown killers.

A senior police officer said: "The FIR has been registered and sealed off soon afterwards." The FIR on behalf of state was lodged after the police refused to entertain the complainant Nawab Baloch, cousin of Abdullah Murad Baloch.

Sources said that he insisted the police to register an FIR against the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement for being responsible for the MPA's killing.

Abdul Razzak Raja, member of PPP Sindh Council said: "We do not accept the FIR registered by the police. We are going to approach the court for seeking justice."
