KARACHI: Three die in road accidents

KARACHI, Feb 13: Three persons, including a 10-year-old boy, died in road accidents in the city. Police said that Adnan, 10, was going to buy milk when he was hit by a passenger coach in Sharafi goth, Malir. Following the accident, the errant driver managed to escape from the spot.

In Zaman town, Mohammad Husain, 35, died in a hit-and-run accident. The victim was taken to the JPMC for postmortem examination, police said. In Site, an elderly man died when he was knocked down by a truck on Friday morning. Police said that Rashid, 50, was hit by a truck near Singer Chowrangi, Site. He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

KILLED: A man was killed by his neighbour in Qasba Colony on Friday morning. According to the police, Sarfraz was attacked with sharp- edged weapon by his neighbour Ayub in Ittehad town. Earlier, children from both houses had a quarrel with each other which ensued Ayub to attack his neighbour, police said.

The suspect escaped from the spot while the victim was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he died during treatment, police added.

DIES: A pedestrian, who was injured in a crossfire between police and armed suspects in Lyari on Thursday, succumbed to injuries at Civil Hospital on Friday. Shoaib was admitted to the Civil Hospital on Thursday night.
