Faisalabad poised for three points

LAHORE,Feb11: Faisalabad were on verge of taking first innings lead after reducing Sialkot to 291 for seven on the third day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Wednesday.

Test reject Imran Nazir (83 with 15 fours and one six) and Shahzad Malik (93 with 10 fours and one six) were the main scorers for Sialkot, who are still 90 runs away from overhauling Faisalabad's total of 381.

Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan, who has been recalled for thenational training camp for the Indian series, enjoyed a good day by claiming three for 86 and then scoring a bright 41, laced with two sixes and as many fours.

Off-spinner Saeed Ajmal captured three of the wickets.
