KARACHI: New DG Rangers takes over

KARACHI, Jan 14: Maj-Gen Javed Zia on Wednesday assumed the charge of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) director-general on Wednesday. According to a Rangers spokesman, the DG on his arrival at the Rangers headquarters was presented a guard of honour.

The corps commandants and staff officers were introduced to him. The director-general said that under his command, the Rangers (Sindh) would remain vigilant while performing the tasks, the spokesman added.

Maj-Gen Zia, who was earlier posted as the Mangla general officer commanding, has replaced Maj-Gen Sallahuddin Satti, who has been posted at the Inter-Services Intelligence in Islamabad.
