KSE board to elect chairman on 9th

KARACHI, Jan 6: The freshly completed Board of Directors of the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) would meet here on January 9 to elect its new chairman out of 5 elected members from a total of 10 directors.

The elected directors are Arif Habib, Salim Chamdia, Shehzad Chamdia, Haji Ghani Haji Usman and Dawood Jan Mohammed. The managing director of the KSE is also ex-officio member of the board whereas the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has nominated four non-member directors on the board for the year 2004 to complete the board of 10 directors.

The professionals, who have been nominated by the SECP, are M.A. Lodhi (National Insurance Company), Bashir A. Chowdry (Al-Zamin Leasing Modaraba), M.J. Jaffar (Advocate Supreme Court) and Muslim Lakhani (Member, Saarc Chamber of Commerce).-APP
