KASUR, Jan 2: Two college students were killed by a speeding wagon on Friday near Meer Kot Canal, Chunian.

Police said that Muhammad Abbas and Sher Muhammad of Inter College, Chunian, were on their way home by motorcycle when the wagon (LHO-8385) hit them. As a result, both the bike riders died on the spot.

This was pledged by District Nazim Rana Imtiaz Ahmad Khan while speaking at a seminar on "child labourers and their problems" held under the auspices of Pukar Foundation at the district council hall.

The Nazim said child labourers deserved our special attention, and emphasized the need to establish an institution for their recreation. He directed the labour department to meet owners of factories and ensure better facilities and proper wages for the child labourers.
