LAHORE, Feb 10: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced senior as well as junior training camp probables to pick squads for the forthcoming international assignments.

National selection committee headed by Olympian Hasan Sardar, selected 34 probables for the senior camp on their performance in the recently-concluded national hockey championship. The list includes penalty-corner specialist Sohail Abbas and Waseem Ahmed, who have only recently withdrawn their retirement from international hockey. The first phase of the training camp will be held from Feb 20 to March 3 and the second one from March 10 in Lahore.

The Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and Asia Cup are two forthcoming national team assignments, which will be held in April and May, respectively. Similarly, 35 probables were announced for junior camp starting Feb 12 in Rawalpindi.

The junior team will feature in a four-nation tournament in Malaysia and another five-nation event in Egypt in March.
