SUKKUR, Feb 9: A teenage girl was gunned down by her brother on the pretext of karo-kari in the kutcha area near Ubauro on Monday.

On information, area police took the body to a local hospital for post-mortem but registered no case.

RAIDS: The Kandhkot police on Monday raided different villages, set ablaze 15 houses and arrested over 10 suspects.

A heavy contingent of police raided and cordoned Ghora Ghat, Punhal Sabzoi and Shah Suhriani villages, conducted house-to- house search and arrested more than 10 suspects but declined to disclose their names.

Police sources claimed that raids were aimed at to recover an eight-year old girl, Lakshmi, who was kidnapped from Kandhkot 10 days ago and that police have torched hideouts of criminals.
