SUKKUR, May 14: In a dare-devil robbery here on Tuesday evening, 1400 blank passports were stolen by unknown armedmen from the Passport Office and managed to escape.

Before committing the crime, the unknown robbers had reportedly stayed in the premises of the passport office for around half-an-hour.

According to details, the armedmen took the inmates of passport office hostage on gun-point and locked them in a room.

Then they went on a looting spree and collected blank passports from the almirahs and fled.

The stolen passport series ranged from KA-482601 to KA-484001.

Meanwhile, police constable Shahbaz Dino has been suspended on charges of ‘negligence from duty’.
