KARACHI, Jan 7: The Sindh Squash Association (SSA) has decided to launch Inter Provincial Team Squash Championship to add a new event to their 2009 calendar, SSA Secretary Tahir Khanzada said the other day.

He said details of the event have been discussed by the members of the executive committee, adding that it will be included in the four SSA events this year.

The SSA official said Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan and hosts Sindh, comprising four players each, will feature in the competition.

He said the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) had also allocated a $6000 International event of the Professional Squash Association to be held at the end of 2009. Tahir said the National Junior and National Women Squash Championships were the other two events to be held during the year.

The official further said dates, venues and other details of the events were being worked out and would be intimated to the PSF in due course of time.—APP
