MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 7: The newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Haji Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, has assured the people that he has committed himself to the mitigation of their misery.

Sardar Yaqoob said at a gathering after taking oath on Tuesday that he would give top priority to addressing the common man’s grievances.

The premier said he would look into snags in the reconstruction of Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot and would try to ensure that the projects were completed in time.

The rehabilitation of people affected by the Mangla dam was also among his priorities, he added.

“I will visit the length and breadth of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and meet ordinary people in order to learn about their problems.”

Sardar Yaqoob Khan said his government would see to it that the Kashmir issue was highlighted at all international forums.
