Adil shines in ranking tennis

KARACHI, Jan 1: Local player Adil Kohari walked away with two victories in the juniors U-17 and boys U-15 singles on the opening day of the Sindh Open ranking tennis championship which commenced at Southend Club on Thursday.

In the juniors U-17 Adil posted 6-2, 7-5 victory over Saad Yousuf while he had a cakewalk over Adeel Zulfiqar 6-1, 6-1 in the boys U-15. The two triumphs have put him into the next round.

Making his appearance in a domestic event after a long layoff, top seed Syed Zuhair Raza was home 6-0, 6-0 against Sameer Tayyabaly in the juniors U-17.
