St Patrick’s cruise into quarters

KARACHI, Dec 29: St Patrick’s High School outclassed BVS Parsi High School, Saddar, 11-0 in the Karachi United (KU) School Football Championship match at the DHA Stadium on Monday.

This was the third consecutive win for St Patrick’s who are through to the quarter-finals with nine points.

The top scorer for the winners this time was striker Mohammad Baloch with five goals (fourth, 16th, 21st, 44th and 51st minutes).

Meanwhile, fellow striker Mohammad Imran earned his second hat-trick by scoring four goals (seventh, 11th, 34th and 46th minutes). Umer Baloch, also a frontrunner, added two (38th and 41st minutes).

The BVS are now under pressure to beat their opponents Beaconhouse Gulshan on Tuesday in order to make it to the last eight. Beaconhouse are slightly ahead of them on goal average and would go ahead even in the case of a draw.
