11 militants killed in Swat

MINGORA, Dec 24: Security forces claimed killing 11 militants in clashes in the restive Swat region on Wednesday.

According to the Swat Media Centre, troops continued a search operation and attacked suspected militant hideouts in Shakar Darra.

An ISPR press release said the forces had consolidated their positions in Sangota and adjoining areas and engaged militants at several places. A curfew has been imposed from Khwazakhela to Mingora.

Meanwhile, two bothers, Sher Bahadar and Khan Badar, were gunned down in Qamber village.

A headless body was found in Guli Bagh area of Charbagh and a bullet-ridden body in Shakar Darra area of Matta.
