KC Snooker starts from Monday

KARACHI, Dec 12: Top players of the country will be seen in action when the second KC Inter-club Snooker Team Championship takes place at the Amir Bakhsh Billiards Hall from Dec 15 to 20.

Organisers announced on Friday that five clubs — Aga Khan Gymkhana, Area Snooker Club, Karachi Gymkhana, Time Snooker, Snooker Zone — and three Karachi Club combinations will feature in the event.

The winners will get cash prize worth Rs40,000 while the runners-up pocket Rs25,000.

Cueist making the highest break will get Rs5,000.

Teams:

KARACHI CLUB ‘A’: Naveen Perwani (captain), Qasim Kamani, Vishan Gir, Asim Ghani, Salman Merchant.

KARACHI CLUB ‘B’: Farhan Idrees (captain), Ahmed Saleem, Ali, Azeem Yousuf, Baqar Kamani.

KARACHI CLUB ‘C’: Dileep Perwani (captain), Imran Meghani, Asad Kamani, Umer Saleem, Kamran Suriya.

AGA KHAN GYMKHANA: Rahim Khemani (captain), Salim Sohani, Moiz Khakwani, Salim Khakwani, Moiz Mirza.

AREA SNOOKER CLUB: Kamran Razzak (captain), Farrukh Usman, Mohammad Sultan, Khurram Agha, Hammad Bin Farooq.

TIME SNOOKER: Kashif Khan (captain), Abdul Sattar, Sohail Shehzad, Jawed Ansari, Umair Alam.

KARACHI GYMKHANA: Murtaza Rajab Ali (captain), Akbar Puri, Omar Tanveer, S.M. Younus, Ali Aziz.

SNOOKER ZONE: Sunny Shahani (captain), Mohammad Akhlas, Naseem Paracha, Najam-ur-Rehman, Ahsan Raza.—APP
