HYDERABAD, Nov 28: Hyderabad District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has said that 6,535 deserving people will have to face problems if funds are not released by the Baitul Maal department. In a communication addressed to the managing director, Baitul Maal, Islamabad, he said that the district food support steering committee had sent the cases of 6,535 deserving people to the Baitul Maal department for release of Baitul Maal fund and added that the last date for payment was December 15.

He, however, pointed out that the Baitul Maal department has issued instructions to the post masters to stop the payment of Baitul Maal.

This is certain to create unrest among the deserving people as Eidul Azha is round the corner, Mr Jamil said. He asked the Baitul Maal department to release funds before Eidul Azha.
