LAHORE, Nov 27: PML-N patron Nawaz Sharif gave a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) team the cold shoulder when it called on him at his Raiwind residence here on Thursday to condole the death of his cousin, Khalid Siraj.

Led by Federal Parliamentary Affairs Minister Babar Awan, the team comprised Munir Ahmad Khan, Azizur Rahman Chan and Zakariya Butt.

The visitors requested their host to allow the crew of at least one of the channels waiting outside the residence to cover the event, but they were reportedly not obliged.

No side discussed the controversial issues of the Punjab governor, restoration of pre-emergency judiciary and abolition of 17th Amendment as Mr Awan informed Mr Sharif about the economic progress the PPP government was making, and terms and conditions attached with the IMF loan. — Staff Reporter
