KARACHI, May 11: Bandits shot an elderly man to death at his home in Kemari early on Saturday morning.

Police said the bandits barged into the house of Jannat Gul, 65, in Gulshan-i-Sikendar, in the Jackson police limits and started collecting cash, jewellery and valuables.

As Jannat Gul put up resistance, the bandits panicked, opened fire and fled.

Jannat Gul suffered a bullet in his chest and was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. His son Dilawar got a case registered with police.
