KARACHI, Nov 12: Unbeatable league toppers and District Malir champions Sharafi Mohammadan finally lost to Usmanabad Union while Baloch Mujahid beat Gulshan FC at the CDGK Stadium on Tuesday as all four teams completed 10 of their total quota of 15 matches in the KASB Premier League Football (PLF) tournament.

The first match between Sharafi and Usmanabad saw the champions opening score with a second-minute goal when their star striker and the event’s top scorer Abdul Haleem beat goalkeeper Yousuf Mansuri for a field goal.

Then Usmanabad’s right winger Mohammad Imran’s powerful kick from just outside the penalty box reached its target by entering the goal through goalkeeper Abdul Wahid’s left. The scoreline at the interval was 1-1.

The last 10 minutes in the second half proved to be the most exciting when three goals were scored in three minutes.

Striker Ayaz Baloch scored for Usmanabad in the 81st minute, followed by midfielder Akhtar Ali’s goal in the next minute. But the 83rd minute saw midfielder Asghar Baloch reducing the deficit to 3-2 for Sharafi.

The win brings Usmanabad Union’s points to nine while Sharafi have 21.

Meanwhile, Baloch Mujahid earned their fourth win when they beat Gulshan FC 2-0 by scoring one goal in each half through their left winger Mohammad Ayub (17th and 53rd minute).
