KARACHI, Nov 6: Final touches are being given to the arrangements for the floating of a tender for the supply of paper for the publication of textbooks in Sindh.

This was stated by a spokesman for the provincial education ministry on Thursday.

He said that a decision to this effect would be made at a meeting of the relevant committee to be held on Saturday.

The tender would be floated in the light of the committee’s decision as per the relevant rules and regulations, the spokesman said.

He was commenting on reports that the process of procuring paper to publish textbooks had hit snags for certain reasons.

He denied that the a meeting of the committee had been scheduled for November 5 but was postponed. “The fact is that the technical committee meeting is to be held on November 8 as was originally scheduled,” he added.—Agencies
