KARACHI, Nov 3: Eleven vessels including three cement loaders to load 50,000 tons of cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest as eight ships were berthed during the last two days. They are: Nikolaos-P to load clinkers, Q.S.M. Dubai to load rice, Marilyn and Gregos to offload imported wheat, H.H. Tide, Northern Harmony to unload and load containers, Cailan-2 to unload and load general cargo and Nord Mermaid, an oil tanker.

Ten ships, Calvin P. Titus, Oocl Ability, Cap Gabriel, Ninos, Far Singapore, Abrar, Blid, Union Carrier, Cosmos Sun and Yangtze River, departed during the last two days.Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 173,000 tons comprising a record 122,000 tons of export tonnage including 17,480 tons of cement, 15,540 tons of clinker and 2,985 tons of rice and 50,808 tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Champion Barli to load 31,000 tons of molasses, Flag Investor, OBS Swathy and Sea Bridge to load cement, Nayab-1 to load general cargo, Hyundai Qingdao, Deja Bhum, Kapitan Byankin, Cap Colorado, China Star and Harmony with containers.
