2 motorcylists killed in Attock

ATTOCK, Oct 27: Three persons were killed in as many incidents in various areas of the district, police said on Monday.

According to the police, two motorcyclists - Muhammad Waqas and Muhammad Sajjad - were on way when a speeding car hit them near Nartupa More on the Hazro-Ghazi Road in the jurisdiction of Hazro police station. As a result, Sajjad died on the spot while Waqas sustained injuries and was taken to the Tehsil Headquarters hospital Hazro.

In another incident, a motorbike rider - Asim Shezad - was hit by a truck because of the negligence of the driver on the Attock-Kamra Road in the jurisdiction of City police station. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and died on the way to the District Headquarters hospital.

The police have registered separate cases against the car and truck drivers.

And Muhammad Khan, resident of Mohallah Sikandarabad, allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself because of some family problems, police said.

OUTLAWS HELD: District police have arrested 12 outlaws and recovered nine pistols, two bottles of liquor and 225gm hashish during a crackdown on the anti-social elements at different areas of the district on Sunday night.
