Adeel shines in school basketball

KARACHI, Oct 22: Adeel Sajjad excelled with 21 points to help Pakistan Steel Cadet College clinch the fifth AKU Sports Centre Inter-school basketball tournament with a thrilling 48-47 victory over St Patrick’s High School here the other day.

The winners, who were trailing 21-25 at interval, were also served well by Khurram Javed (15 points) and Sultan Abbas (five). For St Patrick’s High School skipper, Tuaha Hussain (15) and Milton Manuel (11) were the main scorers.

Tuaha was also declared the tournament’s best player for scoring 87 points while Cadet College captain Khurram Javed got a consolation award for contributing 84 points towards his team’s success.—Sports Correspondent
