GUJRAT, Oct 20: A woman was gunned down on Sunday night allegedly by her brother-in-law over suspicion of having relations with a man whom the accused had already killed around 10 days ago at Jallalpur Saubtian village in Karianwala police precincts.

Reports said Tahira Bibi w/o Muhammad Aslam was shot dead by her brother-in-law Muhammad Akram as the accused suspected that the deceased had relations with Zahid Mahmood of the same village.

Tahira was a mother of five children.

Police said Aslam, his brother Muhammad Akram and some other men of the family had allegedly gunned down Zahid Mahmood on Oct 9 over the issue and a case had been registered against them.

However, the murder case of Tahira has been registered against single accused Akram on the report of Fazal Ali, the uncle of the deceased.

No arrests were made in both the cases.

In another incident, a woman was shot dead allegedly by her two brothers-in-law over some family feud at Ranjha Jhamat village in Jallalpur Jattan Sadar police limits on Sunday.

Reports said Nadeem and Ghafoor allegedly opened fire on Shahnaz Bibi, the wife of their brother Tahir Mahmood, over some domestic issue. The woman succumbed to her injuries on way to hospital.

Police have registered a case against the accused.

HUMAN TRAFFICKERS: The Gujrat circle of FIA claimed on Monday to have arrested two human traffickers in the wake of the investigation from recently deported 168 illegal immigrants from Turkey.

FIA Gujrat circle head Inspector Shahid Nawaz told this correspondent that Rehmat Ali Changarh and Malik Khalid of Gujranwala had been arrested.

Rehmat is the father of another human trafficker Aslam Changarh who is in Turkey. Malik Khalid is the real brother of Malik Ihsan, another notorious agent, whose name was included in the most wanted human traffickers list.
