Jahangir shines for Bay View

KARACHI, Oct 18: Jahangir Khan produced a good all-round performance to help Bay View High School easily defeat Oasys School by 73 runs in the first KGA Ian Fyfe Memorial Twenty20 inter-school cricket tournament here on Saturday.

After scoring a quickfire 35 off 24 balls, Jahangir snared three wickets for 16 runs in four overs of leg-spin bowling as Oasys School were all out for 95 whole chasing 169.

Off-spinner Usama Zaman also bagged three wickets, giving away 13 runs as Bay View ran out comfortable winners.

Earlier, Bay View reached 168 for five in their allotted 20 overs. After openers Asad Dalal (26 off 20 balls) and Daniyal Naqi (35 off 32) shared a partnership of 57, Jahangir and Uzair Qaiser added 46 for the fourth wicket.

Uzair finished unbeaten with 59 off just 39 deliveries. Wicket-keeper Abdul Ber was the top-scorer for the losers with 20 off 16 balls while opening the innings.
