Hameedul Haq off to Turkey

KARACHI, Oct 15: Former Davis Cupper Hameedul Haq leaves for Turkish city Antarya on Sunday to compete in ITF Seniors individual world championship, being held there from Oct 19 to 26.

Hameed, 46, a recipient of President’s Pride of Performance, will compete in 40 and 45 plus singles.

According to him, players from some 49 countries are to feature in the event. He is ranked 48th in the world in 45 plus singles and the expenses of his trip are being borne by private sponsor.
